Our first post

February/March

Reading: In reading we are currently working on long and short vowel sounds. We will also be talking about fiction vs.non-fiction

Writing: In writing we continue to learn about narratives. We have started planning out our writing and making sure that it contains a beginning, middle, and end. In writing we have also been discussing nouns.

Math: In math we have started a unit on place value. We are currently talking about decomposing teen numbers in order to subtract.

Social Studies/Science: In Science we are continuing to learn about energy and why it is important. In Social Studies we will be starting to discuss American symbols.

The extras: It was great seeing you at parent/teacher conferences. Thank you for the continued support :)
