Kindness Elf

I apologize for the late post. Our school filter has been blocking my access to our blog. Anyways, I'm sure many of you have heard about the Kindness Elf that has been visiting our classroom. He comes each night and assigns us a task that helps spread kindness this Christmas. In the morning, students must find the Kindness Elf and read the task he has assigned. Below is a picture of how we found our elf on Thursday morning. Ask your child how they have been spreading kindness in and out of school.

Reading: This week we will be learning about the difference between fiction and non-fiction books.

Writing: This week we will continue to practice capitalization, punctuation and finger spaces. We will practice this by writing narratives.

Math: This week we will be learning about story problems. Story problems will get harder this week, as we switch up the order of the totals and partners. We need to start listening for words that help us decided if we're adding or subtracting.

I hope you all enjoyed your break!
